This flick was apparently shown at the Newport Beach Film Festival in Orange County in Southern California on April 30th of this year. I'm trying to remember what kept me busy right around the end of April or early May because for some reason I never heard of this until today (a former colleague posted the trailer on Facebook).

I couldn't find full movie yet in iTunes nor on the torrent sites. But the trailer is on youtube.com (shown above). Well, it's a Filipino movie alright and you can tell by the teaser. If not for the familiar Filipino faces, but the slant of the movie. It's a friggin' love story and it looks like it promises to be a tearfest. That's fine, I guess, if love stories are your cup of sikwate.

What I didn't like about the trailer is that there's just too much name-dropping. "From the worldwide blockbuster hit 'Step Up 2: The Streets' Briana Evigan," "From the HBO sensation 'True Blood' Kristin Bauer." She's a pretty face, alright, but blockbuster hit Step Up 2? And it goes on and on.

But I'd still be interested to watch the movie. After all, it is based on that event where the the world was billions-worth screwed by a mere Visual Basic scripting computer virus.
