The Economist argues that newspapers and magazines (Lean Back 1.0) and PC reading (Lean Forward) is dead. Or will be dead soon. Really soon. This is the age of Lean Back 2.0.

The numbers they are showing are compelling and I can't help but agree. My favorite book, The Dune Series by Frank Herbert, has been on the bed post for three months now. I have not yet completed reading it. Even if it's my favorite. Yet I was able to read about three books in the same period on the iPad.
